After spending a decade working for a software company, I can share that even people who work with technology all the time can still struggle with using it.
I know it is sometimes even difficult to describe the issue happening or what the solution should be- technology is very open-ended and I like to connect the ends together.
Here is a summary of some of the services I have experience with, and some "canned jobs" which are more predictable in nature. :

- Refresh an old desktop/laptop
- Bring a junky computer back to life by installing an operating system which is optimtized for the ability of your technology
- For the cost of $35 (~1-2 hours), I will review your old computer with you and determine the best fresh software we can install, as well as consult with you to understand how to use your updated software effectively
- Refresh a working desktop/laptop
- If your current computer is working fine but running slowly, there are some tools which may get it back up to speed
- For $20 (~1-2 hours), I will diagnose your slow machine to inspect for malware and apply other "fixes" as appilcable
- This may include removing or disabling unused software/services. updating programs and drivers, and installing hardware upgrades in certain cases
- Introduction to Scrum and Agile methodologies
- If you work with a team, or if you need the ability to organize an abunance of tasks te be delivered upon (preject and product management), I can provide an introductory (or intermediate) learning course to teach you about the free workflow framework called Scrum
- While the Scrum guide is readily available at Scrum.org and many other places, it does not include the intuition of applying the framework and using scrum to grow a team
- Starting at $200 for a 4-hour long course, I will customize an educational presentation to share with you and your team to teach you about working on increments to produce a valuable iteration
- This will include an introduction to the buzzwords, events, and ideology, then we will go into detail about using the framework for your specific usage
- Local AI (LLM) setup and tutorial
- The Ollama team has made it easier than ever to set up your own locally-hosted AI large language model!
